Did you know that I will be delivering the keynote speech this weekend at the 22nd Annual NARTS Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona? NARTS is the National Association of Resale and Thrift Shops and I am the Immediate Past President and am honored to have been asked to keynote. The speech topic is ‘Our Time To Shine’ and if you’ve been keeping up with our Consignment Chic television show, consignment shop bus tours and all the press we’ve been getting lately, then you know Collage has truly been in the ’spotlight’!
Andrea and Barbi are coming with me to Scottsdale, so please go by all the Collage stores to keep our staff company while we are out of town. We’re STILL taking in FABULOUS Summer merchandise, but only for 1 more week! July 1 we switch to accepting Fall merchandise, so hurry in to get all the new Summer items while they last!

I hope you’re already following what we’re doing at Collage, but just in case – have you seen our tv show? We created a television show on CW21 on Saturday mornings about the Thrill of Shopping Consignment called ‘Consignment Chic‘ and it has been a hit! We were #1 in our time slot on our pilot episode and by week 5 our number of viewers had almost doubled! We’ve wrapped our first season and are now running the ‘Consignment Chic Minute‘ on CW21 all throughout the day – every day!
In the last 4 weeks, we’ve been featured in the Birmingham Weekly, Birmingham News, Birmingham Business Journal online, A Morning Jolt internet newsletter, interviewed by AARP (a national publication), on ABC 33/40’s Talk of Alabama and ABC 33/40’s 10:00pm News, on NBC Midday and will be in Southern Living soon!
We’ve created a bus tour of consignment shops that ran in January and we go again THIS Saturday, February 21. Call 879-6163 or go by any location of Collage to sign up! Our television show premieres on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11:30am on CW21. We’ll spotlight the many aspects of consignment shopping, fashion and bargains and we’ll take you on a tour of consignment stores in Birmingham, Cullman, Greystone, Pelham, Homewood, Vestavia, and more. The Consignment Chic television show works in tandem with the Consignment Chic website www.consignmentchic.com to help you find consignment shops in Central Alabama, to give you the INSIDE SCOOP about consignment and to get you excited about high-end shopping at low-end prices!
I’m the host and show creator of Consignment Chic and the owner of Collage Designer Consignment, but did you know that I’m also the Immediate Past President of NARTS, the National Association of Resale and Thrift Shops?
